Hi! I am Angelo Romasanta, a postdoctoral researcher of innovation management at ESADE Business School. I am currently involved in two cool projects coordinated by CERN. The first project ATTRACT is a 20M EUR initiative aiming to commercialize technologies by the largest research infrastructures in Europe. The second project Science Mesh aims to connect the various cloud services across Europe to facilitate international collaborations.
Previously, I did my PhD at VU University Amsterdam, studying the adoption and commercialization of new technologies in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Marie Curie fellow of the European project FragNet, I initiated collaborations with various big pharma and biotech companies.
I have always been interested in linking science and business to help innovations in the laboratory turn into products that can impact society. Previously, I did my master’s degree in Chemical Innovation and Regulation as an Erasmus Mundus scholar. My academic training is also complemented by various experiences such as being a marketing intern at Procter and Gamble, a business development intern at the incubator Ideaspace and founding a geeky shirt company with my friends.
In my free time, I like to play the piano, dance salsa, listen to podcasts, design random stuff on photoshop and walk around the city.
